Last month, we were delighted to finally be able to open our show homes again after over three months without visitors. The UK Government has also recently announced a temporary holiday on stamp duty on the first £500,000 of all property sales — meaning now is a great time to be viewing and buying a home.

However, despite guidelines allowing us to return to a degree of normality, we appreciate that many people may still be concerned about whether or not it is safe to sell and view new properties.

These are exceptional circumstances, and it is vital that all those operating in the housebuilding industry comply with the latest government advice on coronavirus at all times.

At Troy Homes, the health and safety of our customers are our main priority. To help reassure you, we wanted to outline the precautions we are taking at our sites and sales centres to allow you to look around our stunning homes safely. These new sales centre operating procedures are based on Public Health England guidance.

Taking care of our customers

For the foreseeable future, our new sales centre operating policy means we will only be accepting a limited number of pre-booked customer appointments daily to view our show homes. We will also only permit one appointment, with a maximum of two people per household, in the show home at any given time. This is to ensure there are no overlaps between customers, social distancing can be maintained and to allow sufficient time for cleaning between each appointment. Only customers who have signed to confirm they are not at risk or displaying symptoms can visit the sales complex.

On arriving for an appointment, you must notify the sales consultant from the car park and clean your hands before entering the show home using the hand sanitiser provided. If you prefer, you can choose to use the provided gloves instead. Following the latest guidelines from the Government, we will also have disposable face masks available for your use. After your viewing, we will offer to send brochures, price lists and other handouts to you digitally.

All of these procedures are designed to protect you, your family and the wider population and will be explained to you and prominently displayed around the sales centre and show homes.

If you have got a property to sell, we are also offering an assisted move scheme — whereby we will arrange two valuations of your home and market it through our approved agents. The agents will then negotiate on your behalf and once you have agreed a sale, progress this through to exchange and completion. You will have no estate fees to pay as these are paid for by Troy Homes.

As with viewings at our sales centres, our agents will follow strict guidance when carrying out appointment-only viewings at your property. This includes asking you to open all doors prior to and arranging for you be out of the house or in the garden during the viewing. The agent will meet potential buyers outside, masks will be worn at all times and customers will not be allowed to touch anything as they walk around. Virtual tours and videos can also be offered if you would prefer.

Find your perfect home

Show homes are currently open by appointment only at our developments in Gidea Park, Theydon Bois and Hadley Wood.

At Burns Court in Gidea Park there are now only two luxurious apartments remaining, each with a spacious private terrace.

Our Chestnut Mews development in Theydon Bois consists of a mixture of two-bedroom homes — some of which include a study. There are now only 50% of these homes remaining.

Sambrook Court in the exclusive community of Hadley Wood is an exceptionally modern development of one and two-bedroom apartments, many of which boast far-reaching views towards Trent Country Park or Hadley Wood Golf Course.

In addition to this we are now taking appointments to view our latest luxurious development in Elstree off-plan at Preston Bennett Estate Agents. Lawn Manor is an exclusive gated development of just 16 two-bedroom apartments.

Buyers looking to purchase a home at any of our developments will all be able to benefit from the stamp duty exemption — and with the exclusion in place until the 31st of March 2021, now is the ideal time to buy!

If you would like to arrange a viewing, please get in touch today. We look forward to welcoming you at one of our show homes soon.
