Karen Roake, sales and marketing director at luxury property developer Troy Homes, shares the company’s latest efforts to enrich local communities.

In January 2024, luxury housing developer Troy Homes made a generous donation of £1,000 to Steeple Bumpstead Pre-School.

The high-end developer also invited staff and students to tour its nearby development, Reeds Place, offering exclusive access to the site’s brand-new show home as part of its commitment to supporting local communities.

Nurturing a sense of community

Steeple Bumpstead’s preschool has been at the core of the small village just outside Haverhill in Essex since 1988 — offering unparalleled support to children aged two and above.

At this much-loved institution, students are taught to socialise and play with their friends from the offset — building on the sense of care and community seeded within the village.

Having established a presence in the area, Troy Homes was keen to contribute to this community spirit, giving back to local residents with a substantial donation to the school and a day trip for some of its children.

A representative of Steeple Bumpstead Pre-School said:

‘It was very exciting for the children to tour the show home and meet the team. Troy Homes’ donation will go towards refurbing our garden area, which is very much in need of some tender loving care’.

Karen Roake, the sales and marketing director at Troy Homes, commented:

‘Our team was delighted to show the preschool’s staff and students around our Reeds Place show home. We take enormous pride in becoming a part of communities across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, North London and Essex — and we are committed to making a positive impact in these areas’.

Planting roots in Steeple Bumpstead

For Troy Homes, a property developer passionate about creating vibrant communities and aspirational homes, Steeple Bumpstead offers the perfect backdrop for new housing projects.

Alongside two churches, a library and a doctor’s surgery, the village boasts two popular local pubs, a convenience store and a post office. Family life is a strong focus in Steeple Bumpstead, with the village’s preschool, primary school and a wide choice of excellent secondary schools available for quality education.

With this in mind, Troy Homes saw the opportunity to build a development that complements its surroundings — and carefully selected Steeple Bumpstead as a home for Reeds Place, one of its newer sites.

Comprising eight spacious four-bedroom homes and one luxurious three-bedroom bungalow, Reeds Place benefits from modern amenities, secluded gardens and easy access to the nearby countryside — offering thoughtfully designed properties for those on their home-buying journey.

Though Steeple Bumpstead Pre-School was treated to an exclusive tour, the Reeds Place show home is open for viewing appointments — enabling other interested parties to explore the property and development on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:30 AM and 4 PM.
